How heavy is the exercise bike when shipped?
The spin bike's shipping weight is 112.2 lbs (51 kg), which might be too heavy for one person to manage safely. To avoid injury, please ask for help when first moving and setting up the bike. Once the bike is set up, one person can easily move it using the transport wheels.
How long does it take to set up the exercise bike? Do I need any special tools?
Setting up the stationary bike is straightforward and should take less than 30 minutes. You'll need a screwdriver, hex key, and wrench, all of which are all included with the spin bike.
What type of flooring can I use the exercise bike on?
For the best experience, we recommend placing the stationary bike on a flat, hard surface such as tile or laminate flooring. The spin bike's feet are rubber and shouldn't damage your floors. Regardless of the surface, the bike operates quietly and shouldn't disturb your neighbors.
Do I need to plug in the spin bike?
You can use the exercise bike without it being plugged in, but you won't be able to adjust the resistance or connect to the bike with your phone. We recommend keeping the stationary bike plugged in at all times. The screen will automatically turn on and off when you start and stop riding.
Are there height/weight limitations for the exercise bike?
The stationary bike's handlebars and seat can be adjusted vertically and horizontally to accommodate users up to 6'5" (195cm) and 330 pounds (150kg).
Is the spin bike safe?
Yes, we have several intelligent safety features. The gears, belt, and flywheel are fully enclosed, to stop anything from getting caught or pulled into the bike's inner workings. The seat, pedals, and handlebars are all ergonomically designed to ensure the most comfortable riding position. There is an emergency stop button within easy reach.
Are the classes suitable for everyone?
All our classes and training plans are designed and led by experienced, certified fitness instructors who put your health and safety first. Star ratings indicate the difficulty of each class, so please choose a class suitable to your fitness level.
Please contact your doctor before beginning a new fitness program if you have a history of heart or lung conditions, sports-related injuries, or anything else that might affect your ability to ride safely.
Can children use the bike?
The bike can be used safely by anyone over the age of 6, though we recommend that children first learn how to use the bike safely with adult supervision.
Is there a water bottle holder?
No, the bike does not have a built-in water bottle holder, though we sell an optional bottle holder bag that you could also use to store other fitness products like jump ropes or stretching bands.
Can I use my own cycling pedals with the spin bike?
Absolutely, if you own SPD or SPD-SL clipless pedals and shoes, you can use them in place of the provided flat pedals.
What type of pedals are included with the spin bike?
The exercise bike features flat metal pedals with toe cages and adjustable toe straps to securely fit various foot sizes and shoe types.
Is it possible to adjust resistance while cycling on the exercise bike?
Yes, you can adjust resistance in two ways: by turning the resistance control knob on the stationary bike's handlebars or by increasing resistance via the app on your phone, tablet, or smartwatch.
How do I connect the stationary bike to the app?
Download the mobifitness app from your App Store, create an account using your email, enable your phone's Bluetooth, and select your bike when prompted.
How can I begin a training plan or join a class with the exercise bike?
From the home screen, tap "Plan" at the bottom to create a customized training plan, or "Class" to select an appropriate class. All options are subscription-free.
How can I initiate or participate in a real-time competition with the spin bike?
On the home screen, tap "Competition" in the top row, then press the "+" button to create a competition and "Invite" to invite friends to join.
